Join me on this immersive retreat and discover a connection with the elements, harnessing their power to reduce stress and encourage a calmer, more balanced outlook. Ayurveda, derived from the Sanskrit word Ayur (life) and veda (science or knowledge), teaches us that the natural world is made up of 5 elements - earth, water, fire, air & space. Through pranayama (breath work), meditation, yoga, the deep relaxation of yoga nidra, crystal singing bowl sound healing and embracing nature, feel inspired by the elements to reconnect with a more restful, serene you.

EARTH DAY RETREAT DAY

22nd April 2023

April 22nd is Earth day! Deepen your connection with nature, the elements in Ayurveda (sister science to yoga) & tune into the Earth's energy.  Feel more grounded through awareness of our root chakra & mula bandha (root lock), using meditation, pranayama (breathing techniques), flow yoga, yin & Yoga Nidra.  Align with your true nature.  Suitable for all levels.  Held in the beautiful grounds of The Retreat New Forest.  Includes tea/coffee, a nutritious plant based lunch by The Crow Spotter & a goodie bag. £89

BALANCING THE CHAKRAS DAY RETREAT

The Chakras are our energy centres in the body. Think of them all working together as a system. When one is blocked & the flow of energy is restricted, the others will compensate throwing the whole system off balance. I am so excited to be sharing this offering with fellow teacher & friend Michelle Maslin Taylor. This retreat day will look to balance the flow of energy through the chakras to allow the system to work more harmoniously. FALL INTO BALANCE - VATA PACIFYING DAY RETREAT

Autumn into winter is a season dominated by vata. Using Ayurvedic principles we understand what we need through the vata season. Pacifying vata dosha & aligning ourselves with the changing pattern of our external environment to maintain balance within. WISDOM FOR THE WINTER DAY RETREAT

One hour slow vinyasa flow for all levels.  A mindful flowing sequence, linking breath with movement to quiet the mind, pranayama (breathing exercises) and guided relaxation to leave you feeling calm yet energised & revitalised

ABOUT MELISSA YOGA

I’ve been practicing yoga for over 20 years.  Travelling to far away places as cabin crew has given me the opportunity to practice with many wonderful teachers in the most amazing places.  Initially setting out with a physical practice I soon realised yoga is so much more.  I took a teacher training in 2012 with the late & most incredible yogi Conrad Paul (I clearly remember his last words to me being ‘Go shine the light’ so here I am!) & then pre & post natal training with Yoga London in 2016, Yoga Nidra & Crystal Singing bowl Sound Healing.  
I believe yoga is for EVERYONE & love to share the life changing practice with all.  I offer classes, workshops, retreats, one to one & corporate yoga. If you are completely new or a seasoned yogi there is a class for you.  There are always variations to challenge & modifications within poses & alternatives to simplify.  Classes are aimed for all levels.  I am here to support you on your yogic path.  There is no need to be flexible!  Join our wonderful nurturing yoga community.  Practicing together creates the most wonderful energy.  Come along!! 🙏
